With a combined 30+ years in the culinary industry, our chef's have mastered various different cuisines and cooking styles. From traditional cultural cuisine, to good ole fashioned barbecue, we can do it all. American River provisions was born in 2017. ARP began by word of mouth, small dinner parties, events and has now grown into a full service catering outfit providing our clients with top personalized service not seen in other companies. ARP prides itself on maintaining a level of service and flexibility you just won't see with other caterers.
Theodore Gibanov, born and raised in Sacramento, CA, has been cooking since an early age. Closely watching his grandmother and mother in the kitchen, he learned and mastered classic Russian dishes and later expanded into different cuisines and techniques. Theodore was awarded best bacon in Sacramento’s bacon festival in 2016 and also made it on to City Scout Magazine's list of the top 5 burgers in Sacramento later that same year.
Graduate of California Culinary Academy in 2002, Chef Steve has worked in some of the top restaurants and hotels in San Francisco, most notably the Sir Francis Drake Hotel and the famed Acme Chophouse. Relocating to Sacramento in 2015, he founded American River Provisions. Steve’s philosophy is simple; focus on quality ingredients, proper technique, simplicity and elegance.
